Iran cinema town hosts Afghan director

Defa'e Moghaddas Cinema Town in Tehran is hosting Afghan filmmaker Ramin Rasouli for his joint cinematic adventure ‘Dogs did not Sleep Last Night’.

Shooting for ‘Dogs did not Sleep Last Night’ kicked off on Eid al-Fitr occasion to mark Rasouli’s second feature in Iran after ‘Lina’ (2017) both with Iranian producer Siavash Haqiqi.

The project enjoys a cast made of both Iranian and Afghan actors.

The joint production between Iran and Afghanistan tells the story of a remote Afghan village seized by the Taliban, and the exploits occurring after a village girl takes a U.S. airborne soldier, who has survived a helicopter crash, into their village.
